SW : OTC Haul!

Well, I went to The General Store (store with assorted retailer sections), which has an Outer Reaches section and found some OTC figs. I ended up buying all 4 Degobah figs, when the only one I was planning on buying was Yoda. They all just look so damn good. Keeping figs MOC has crossed my mind before, but this is the first time I'm seriously considering it. The card art is just great.

So then I go to Zellers and find even more OTC figs. They had all the ones I just bought, plus the other ones I really want. (Vader, Stormtrooper, Boba Fett) I started kicking myself because they were $5 cheaper than what I just paid. So, I continued to kick myself until I realized that they were the Tri-lingual cards with the sunburst card art rather than the picture. So that kind of validated my previous purchase. Anyway, I didn't buy them because of that. If I decide to open these ones, I'll go back and buy them.

Unfortunately, now I feel like I have to keep these MOC or my extra $20 is all for nothing. [img]confused.gif[/img]

The Dagobah are especially nice! I ordered some OTC not knowing what I was getting, thinking they were all new sculpts. I discoverd some were just the same figure in a nice package like the following:


It's the same figure as the Jabba's Palace Luke
from the Return Of The Jedi Carded figures.
I had a few duplicates like that which is why I now longer order OTC sight unseen. [img]redface.gif[/img]

Yeah, I knew some of them were just re-issues, but I'm not a SW collector, so it's all new to me. I saw that luke, but his cape looks absolutely ridiculous.
